I’ve always loved design, and what started as a passion at school has grown into a dream business.

So, let me take you back to the start…

Growing up I had a huge love for dancing and art. When I wasn't doing one, I was doing the other. When it came to choosing my career path the options were, A) Dance School or B) Art College, I decided that my inability to sing and lack of height standing at a small 5ft 1, would make dancing a difficult journey, so art college it was. After suffering the huge loss of my best friend during my art foundation degree I didn’t have the emotional strength to up sticks and go off to uni. At this point any enthusiasm and ambition I had to follow my design path fizzled out and I ended up in an admin job for a few years. 

With zero passion for the job, I quit and went off travelling with my now husband, Luke. I was happy to turn my back on the job, see the world and vowed that when I got home, I would do whatever it takes to get my foot in the design world door and chase my dreams. So, after several incredible months travelling, once home I spent hours honing my skills and building my portfolio to apply for jobs in the industry. 

After a rocky web design apprenticeship which was not my bag at all, I landed a Junior Designer position at a local design agency. I felt so incredibly lucky that they took a chance on me having gone for the job with zero experience (apart from that short-lived apprenticeship!). I had made it, I was finally a ‘designer’ and it felt so good. After 4 awesome years learning on the job, I took the leap to go out on my own when I had my first baby (FYI I now have 2 sons). The flexibility suited me, the lack of commutes and scheduled hours, but it was a huge gamble. Fortunately, one that paid off! 

I ran a successful wedding stationery business for 10 years, whilst also keeping my graphic design skills flowing in the background working with local businesses on branding and graphics. In early 2024 I decided to knock weddings on the head and niche down to specialise in brand and graphic design – a design space, I feel truly happy in. Now, I get to help small businesses do the same, creating bold, beautiful, and meaningful brands that make you feel confident and excited to share your work with the world. This is super rewarding.
